Alpha 1 Available for HLD

Ok, so I've been working at Happy Little Ditty a lot (I'm surprising myself here
) especially in the past few days. Right now I've got most of the HUD and weather up and working.
Features in this version (Alpha 1)
- HLD and Baron (Blue = HLD and Red = Baron; placeholder graphics) Click to move around. Click on someone not leading the party to make them leader
- Beginnings of a sequence of rooms: only three atm but they work well
- Battles: in rooms two and three! Beware! All there is is dialogue! (well, and they move into battle formation, which you can undo by pressing SPACE, but it's just a setup ok?)
- Day-night system: yes, we start out in the middle of the night, then as day comes...the screen lightens a bit and the moon sprite fades out and moves down while the sun sprite fades in and moves up! (that's at the far top-right if you can't tell from my poor artwork) The opposite occurs for day to night and the process cycles
- Rain and wind! Ok, so rain randomly happens (and the longer the amount of time with no rain, the more likely the rain will happen). Wind is randomized thing too; the game will count "wind" as when wind speed is greater than 3 mph. (rain and wind are necessary for some special attacks). The rain is slanted based on the speed and direction of the wind. Better yet, rain is all done with particles! (yes, complicated trig I had trouble with yesterday...)
- Stats along the left side, with health, name, and sprite (all placeholder uberness of it) in little boxes separated by little gray rectangles.
- Some tiling begun. This scenery will probably be the courtyard if you've looked at the world map at all.
Um...that's mostly it. I'll be working on a battle or two to show how that works next here. Until then, the link!
Nothing really screenie-worthy yet. I might do that once I start adding some graphics and a battle or two is available.
